Outreach Ministry

Outreach Ministry’s mission is to “see ourselves heralds of God’s love and to serve those in need. Worship and service are at the heart of the mission.”

The ministry fulfills its mission by organizing events to help collect and distribute food, clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts and limited financial contributions to assist those in immediate need.

Members donate time to the activities of the Outreach Ministry to the best of their ability and schedule. We hold a membership meeting 2 or 3 times a YEAR, sort/deliver for three collections a year, encourage others to participate in giving to the special collections, i.e. Pregnancy Center in February, Veterans in May/June, and oversee the collection/delivery of casseroles for Our Daily Bread.

New members welcome!

Outreach Reaches Out – Easter Giving

This Lenten season as we prepare for Easter and its blessings, the Outreach Ministry asks for support to help brighten the lives of children in the Baltimore Archdiocesan area. Our mission is, as in previous years, to bring smiles and support to our young friends at St. Benedicts, Marian House, St. Cecilia’s and St. Veronica’s.

We would love your involvement to help provide comfort and smiles that a new staffed bunny, lamb, kitten, puppy, bear, etc. offers.  Brighten a child’s Easter with the gift of a new stuffed animal to cuddle!

Thank you for your continued support and compassion for our children, especially in this Easter season of renewal and rebirth! God bless you always for all you do for others.

Please return all Stuffed Animals (new, with tags only and 12 inches or under) to Our Lady of Grace Gathering Space the weekends of April 6th and 7th and April 13th and 14th, 2019.

Please direct any questions to Cathy Talerico (cathyqa@comcast.net)

‘OLG Food Drive weekend’ is the 3rd weekend of each month. The idea is to add one item to your usual donation. All nonperishable foods are greatly appreciated and if you need some suggestions, think breakfast and lunch: canned fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, peanut butter and jelly. We will continue to donate our collections to both the Hereford Food Bank and Pine Grove Food Bank.

Donation guidelines: Please check all donations for expiration dates and tampered packaging. Regardless of the monthly theme, any non-perishable food or hygiene items are always appreciated. Hygiene items such as baby diapers, shampoo, soap, disposable razors, laundry detergent are always in demand since these items cannot be purchased with food stamps.

Questions? Please contact either Linda Davidson (410-357-4456) or Kim O’Conor (443-491-3406).
